About Us
Starts With One (SWO) is a federally registered non-profit organization based in Toronto, dedicated to fighting for anti-racism, decolonization, and equity in Canadian education. Through our E-Learning Program and Education Justice Coalition, we empower youth and advocate for systemic change, ensuring that all students have access to the education they deserve. Our initiatives combine traditional programming with progressive activism to address and dismantle structural inequalities in education. Prevailing structural inequalities and barriers in the Canadian education system motivate our community initiatives. These barriers may prevent students from realizing and achieving their personal goals at school, at work and in life.
